This mentor text is focused on the early life and developent of Beyonce and her career written by Lisa Robinson. Lisa is an American journalist and writer that works for Vanity Fair who sits down with Beyonce to discuss her journey to fame. This interview is one of kind as it is light hearted and a very real conversation with the singer about how her family and her determnation brought her to be one of the most popular musicians to date. The inspiration the Beyonce brings collaborates with her eagerness to fulfill her dreams of making what brings her joy and happiness into a career. She explains that she grew up in a pretty well off household and her choice to pursue music was not something she was pushed or had to do to help out the family but a choice she wanted to make for herself. Her family were her biggest supporters and it is a refreshing site to see family not only being involved, but letting her be in control without major disagreements that lead to hatred or overbearingness. Her dad quitting his job to become Destiny child's full time manager emphasises his dedication to his daughter and her passion. Although the rumors that have distrubed Beyonce's career have hurt her, they can only wash them off with respect and knowing they are never true. Jay-Z became a huge part of Beyonce's life and career when she went solo after Destiny's Child and she has made sure to give credit where credit is due in that she gave credit to him for completing the song "Crazy in Love" with his rap verse. They "exchanged audiences" and she helped "Bonnie and Clyde" go to number 1 while Jay-Z gave her street credibility. The work they had together complimented each other and gave them what they needed. Beyonce's elagancy will always give her the respect she deserves as she likes to keep a lot of her life private. There are no "outrageous" or "disgusting" things that can come to mind when Beyonce discussed which was a huge change in the pop culture and celebrity world. Although she has Shasha on stage to truly go all out and be her sexy side, her true self reflects her outlook on life. Her hard work from a very young age has rightfully paid off and she has become one of the best pop culture stars that anyone can look up to for inspiration and determination.
